Jersey Coast Appliance Proudly Sponsors Habitat for Humanity

Jersey Coast Appliance is proud to be a major sponsor for Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity’s latest build. We are joining other local business and organizations to support “Building Homes from the Heart” campaign, an effort to build and strengthen our community.

100.1 WJRZ, another proud partner of Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity will be on site at Ocean County Mall on September 30th and October 1st to build a house for a deserving working family in New Jersey and make the opportunity to own a decent and affordable home a dream come true.

Become a Volunteer

It costs a few bucks to become a volunteer and that money goes to help provide the materials for the build.  Drywall, nails, and other supplies cost money, so instead of asking you to bring that stuff, we’ll go out and buy it and have it ready on build day. We welcome experienced people and professionals to help us build. However, no experience is required!  CLICK HERE to get signed up to volunteer.

Sponsor a Volunteer

If you don’t have the time to be able to join us at the build, you can simply donate the money to help cover a bunch of supplies. CLICK HERE to make a donation.

Become a Corporate Sponsor

Working together for a great cause is a wonderful team building exercise. If you’re the big boss or you can put a bug in their ear to have your team join us, we’d love to put your business’ name up in lights as a big sponsor of this incredible event.  CLICK HERE to email us with your info or call 732-681-3800 (ext. 330) and ask for Jackie.

The Big Event

Sponsor or volunteer, we look forward to working with you on this event!

On September 30th and October 1st,  Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity will have a worksite at the Ocean County Mall to construct panels for a home.

Once the panels are assembled, they will be transported to a lot in Toms River, where the home will be completed.

In June, we will have a dedication for the home.

This is an opportunity for members of the community to join in building for deserving people.

Come help us build a home from the heart!

About Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity:

Habitat-2

Our Habitat for Humanity is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing through constructing, rehabilitating, and preserving homes. We advocate for fair and just housing policies and providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions. Habitat for Humanity was founded on the conviction that every man, woman, and child should have a simple, durable place to live in dignity and safety, and that decent shelter in decent communities should be a matter of conscience and action for all.

Our Mission:

Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity is a Christian organization that embraces people of all faiths working in partnership to build decent, affordable housing and to create healthy, vibrant and self-sufficient communities.  Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.  Our vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live.

Affordable Housing

Habitat houses are affordable because there is no profit included in the sale price and no interest is charged on the mortgage. The family’s monthly mortgage payments go into a revolving fund which is used to build more houses.  This is not a give-away program. In addition to monthly mortgage payments, each homeowner family invests hundreds of hours of their own labor, called “sweat equity,” into the building of their house and the houses of others.

Serving:

The towns of Bay Head, Beachwood, Berkeley, Brick, Island Heights, Jackson, Lakehurst, Lakewood, Lavallette, Manchester, Mantoloking, Ocean Gate, Pine Beach, Plumstead, Pt. Pleasant, Pt. Pleasant Beach, Seaside Heights, Seaside Park, South Toms River and Toms River.
